WHat is MatchBox?

MatchBox is a dynamic Life & Career exploration program that combines a technology platform with Authentic Learning Experiences (ALEs). Through the MatchBox, students are given a variety of different “matches” to choose from, including Industry Consultation, Job Shadowing, Career Speed Dating, Company Visits and Internships.

Each time a student “strikes a match” and undergoes an ALE, we hope the process will spark their internal fire. It is our desire that each match inside the MatchBox can generate fuel for our next generation to become future-ready and shed their compassionate light on the world.

IDEAS OF "MATCHBOX"

"A small flame can ignite a great fire."

A match has to be ignited to bring light. Likewise, we believe every youth has inherent potential which has to be ignited to bring out their distinctive purposes.

The idea is a play on words around the matching and the fire theme. Matching is what the platform does: each ALE is like a match, and so the platform is like a box full of different matches. Each time a student strikes a match, we hope the process will spark their internal fire, and provide them fuel for their exploration journey to share their light with the world.
